Missions Conference 2010

This picture was taken a few years ago on a missions trip to the Philippines with my son, Dr. Mike Wells and crew.  The picture is of Dr. Armie Jesalva, his son Kent and family.  In the background is a start of a new church.  That church has been built now and they are doing a great job.

It is so important that we support missions and get the gospel to the world.  So many people are wrapped up in their life and problems, which are nothing compared to the world that is dying and going to hell.  They desperately need us to give and to go.

Starting Wednesday night, December 1st, we will be holding a Missions Conference at our church.  We will have missionaries from Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Mexico and Thailand.  As I have said often, "If they are willing to leave their families and country to get the gospel to the world, shouldn't we be able to give up a few nights of TV to support them?"  Every night a different missionary will be presenting their work, and Bro. Gensaw will be preaching.  He is a delightful preacher and has spent over a dozen years on the mission field.  I know you will enjoy it. Please come and bring some friends.

I grew up in a Baptist church my whole life, and all the time growing up I heard people talk about missionaries and we took an occasional offering for a missionary, but I never saw a real live missionary.  At this conference it will be different.

Here is the schedule:

Wednesday 7:00 p.m.
Thursday 7:00 p.m.
Friday 7:00 p.m.
Saturday 5:30 p.m.  (International Dinner - bring food)
Sunday 10:00 a.m. Sunday school
Sunday 11:00 a.m. Morning service
Sunday 6:00 p.m. Evening service

Please try to attend every service you can.
